Latest comparison of the Big 3. I'll take any of these with the knowledge that it'll melt two days later, lol.

That explains the cryptic Kentucky weather people tweets. The weather (and basketball) was so nice this weekend, I wasn’t paying attention. LOL

March 08. March 08. March 08.

I especially like, "At 4AM on March 6th, the National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Watch for parts of Ohio, including Central Ohio. The Watch called for 5″-10″ northwest of I-71, with lesser amounts along 71 due to a predicted changeover to sleet and freezing rain and far less just to the south and east." Lol.

14 years later and nothing has changed....

ILN's latest:

.LONG TERM /WEDNESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY/... Low pressure to the southeast will bring a chance of rain and snow Wednesday, mainly to eastern locations. An interlude of tranquil weather is probable for Wednesday night through Thursday night under weak high pressure. A potent weather system is coming into better focus for Friday and Friday night. A strong cold front and wave of low pressure driven by a sharpening upper trough, tapping a plume of deep moisture originating far to the southwest, is forecast to provide rain Friday, changing to snow Friday night as winds shift to north behind the front. Accumulating snow appears to be likely by the time the system exits east on Saturday morning. Expect mainly dry weather Sunday and Monday as a large area of high pressure builds across the Eastern CONUS.

The next weather system will evolve into a long wave trough from northwest Great Lakes to Nevada on Thursday. This trough will track east with a stronger wave on the backside. Rain showers will develop from west to east on Friday. The two troughs will merge and deepen into a closed just west of the forecast area Friday night. LONG TERM /FRIDAY THROUGH MONDAY/... As the system deepens into a closed low Friday, cold air will filtered into the northwest Ohio Friday night. Surface low is expected to push east across the forecast area during the day on Friday with cold air advection Friday afternoon through Sunday. With cold air in the rapidly deepening system, may have a synoptic snow event Friday night into Saturday and changing into lake affect snow event for snowbelt area over the weekend. Lots of details to figure out and they will eventually settle into place, but ensembles are supporting the anomalous cold pool settling into the Great Lakes for the beginning of the weekend.
