March 12-13, 2022 | Winter Storm - Blue Ridge Blizzard

HVSNOWSTORM

Recommended Posts

Very windy, received just under an inch i'd say. Hoping that band will pivot through and not dissipate. On and off light snow/flurries. Waiting for that band to come through so I can take care of the 🦮

It's going to be a brisk one

Looks like PA did pretty good with this one. Have I ever said how much I hate dry air intrusions 😂

I was wondering how that band is developing, well the 700 frontogenesis shows why, and I dont think it's going to dry up but I could always be wrong lol

5.2” from the main show, over half that in an hour and a half from the main band. .5 since of upslope/LE. Absolutely hammering right now. Tiniest little cell responsible too.

So what's everyones totals? 6.0" here in Williamsport area.

I had to recheck 3x b/c few reports topped my observation posted earlier, and I needed to even check my own self.

7 give or take a tenth or so. Sent NWS the photo and they accepted it in the PNS Report, so...

Officially Pittsburgh International got 9.7" over the last two days. Seems like a lot of reports in and around the city are between 7 to 8.5"

I think we are done here.  We ended up with 7", which isn't the 11" they were forecasting a day or so ago but it is pretty good for March.  It was a pain to remove with the snow blower as the bottom few inches were very icy and the top was powder.  This storm puts us over 70" for the year.
