Track may be west of central PA, which puts H-Burg in the cone, and might be on the bad side of the winds. Lotta rain in PA today also. Hopefully 2+ day gap hopefully from the heavier stuff helps.

The rainfall rates this afternoon were insane. We received about 2 inches of rain in short order and I’m not sure what we got with the 2nd round. Looks like I am going to see Debby up close and personal on my drive through West Virginia, Virginia and North Carolina on Friday. That will make for an exciting ride. 😣 Deb never optimized the winds, but she is an absolute qpf machine so far in the Southeast.

She won't be able to hold her footing, especially if she's been up all night. She needs to move to the concrete where she will have better footing and the wind won't push her too hard.

LUCC
Man, central PA and NY getting douched, here in CNJ we had one small tropical downpour around 7:30am this morning and has been breezy and cloudy ever since. Looks like we are going to miss out on the biblical rains and even the severe storms seem to be becoming more scattered later this evening instead of one large band moving through. Supposed to end around 1am tomorrow and be 89 and sunny all day tomorrow!
Moderators StretchCT Posted August 9 Author Moderators Share Posted August 9 Some wunderground precip for the Williamsport area. There's one over 5" since midnight. Seems very localized though. Wider view has a few 3 or 4" totals.
Moderators Tater Posted August 9 Moderators Share Posted August 9 I think I had around 4 inches in South Boston, VA, but it was strung over 3-4 days. My parents just north of Harrisonburg, VA, had a little over 4", and most of that came last night. They needed all they could get though, because that 4" is probably more than they got the whole rest of the summer.
Moderators StretchCT Posted August 9 Author Moderators Share Posted August 9 (edited) Went down to check on the boat, it seemed alright. Wind blowing pretty good, but was even windier atop the hill at Home Depot in Trumbull. BDR gusted to 49mph. Debris and small branches littering the roads now. Moderators StretchCT Posted August 9 Author Moderators Share Posted August 9 (edited) "Official" totals in Williamsport area, though the 11 is out of line. Closer in and another data point pops up more in line with surrounding area. 6" is nothing to sneeze at. Edited August 9 by StretchCT
