Weakening but still packing a powerful punch.

Ouch for Texas. I am impatiently waiting to see where it goes from there. This is taking too long.

GFS has it heading slowly NNW at landfall in Texas.

Euro has it stalling east of Mexico now.

Very cold cloud tops north of the coc.  Going to scrape just south of Kingston…

Jamaica has got some pretty decently high terrain. A scrape should have an effect. Emphasize should. With Beryl, I wouldn't be surprised if once it's clear it goes right back to beast mode.

The last frame shows the lighting starting to wrap around the core more noticeably and increasing in intensity. Additionally, the Equatorward (South and East side) outflow appears robust. Beryl is showing significant resilience. This could be due to the strong core it developed before encountering the shear. If this core reaches the Gulf of Mexico, I am concerned about the potential impact, especially since the shear is expected to decrease. If it bypasses the Yucatan, I worry for Southeast Texas. Houston, Corpus Christi, and the surrounding areas should closely monitor this situation. It could be quite catastrophic.

Double-barrel!

(not actually, the second plume is just a plume, no rotation, but posting anyway)

You can really see that filling in the loop above.  Dry air still an issue, but it is diminishing on the SE side.

2pm radar. The eyewall likely to miss Kingston and the surrounding area. Surge should still be interesting. Not seeing too much action on the live cam. (edit, there is some tree movement now)
