No tornado watches, no mention in the discussion.  Yet might be the worst one in the state in a decade.

confirmed tornado near Mt Vernon Ohio

At 844 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 7 miles southwest of Mount Vernon, moving east at 20 mph.

...NWS Survey Team Confirms EF-2 Tornado in Frazeysburg in
Muskingum County Ohio...

The storm damage survey team from the National Weather Service
office in Pittsburgh, PA has confirmed an EF-2 tornado with max
wind speeds of 130 mph occurred just after midnight on June 6th
2024 in Frazeysburg, Ohio in Muskingum County.  Additional details
include timing, path length and width will be provided later today
after the rest of the storm survey is finalized, with additional
investigation of potential damage into far southern Coshocton
County occurs.

Again, a final assessment including more detailed results of the
survey will be completed and transmitted via a Public Information
Statement by later today.

The storm survey information will also be available on our
website at http://www.weather.gov/pbz

Looks like ILN confirmed 2 themselves bringing the state total to 61 i believe which is 1 away from the record.

has confirmed a brief and weak tornado in extreme northeast
Delaware County from thunderstorms which occurred during the
evening of June 5th, 2024.

Video taken from the near the intersection of Olive Green Road
and Fredricks road, looking east, shows a brief tornado developing
and then dissipating rather quickly as it moves through a wooded
area along Porter Central Road. EMA confirms minor tree damage in
this area, which supports an estimated wind speed of 65 mph. The
National Weather Service would like to thank the Delaware County
Emergency Management Agency for their assistance in this survey.

EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the
following categories:

EF0...Weak......65 to 85 mph
EF1...Weak......86 to 110 mph
EF2...Strong....111 to 135 mph
EF3...Strong....136 to 165 mph
EF4...Violent...166 to 200 mph
EF5...Violent...>200 mph

...EF0 TORNADO CONFIRMED SOUTHWEST OF HANOVER IN LICKING
COUNTY, OH...

With considerable assistance from the Licking County Emergency
Management Agency, the National Weather Service in Wilmington, OH
has confirmed a brief tornado southwest of Hanover in Licking
County, OH, specifically in the Claylick area, from thunderstorms
which occurred late in the evening on June 5th, 2024.

A swath of concentrated tree and minor structural damage is being
assessed along Lesley and Claylick Roads. The damage has been
determined to be tornadic in nature, with estimated maximum wind
speeds around 80 mph (EF0 rating).

A number of trees were snapped and uprooted, and a few structures
received minor soffit/fascia and roof damage.

Assessment is ongoing and final details will be shared via Public
Information Statement by the end of the day Friday.

The National Weather Service Would like to thank the Licking
County Emergency Management Agency for their assistance with this
survey.

Ohio has officially tied the state record of 62.

Ohio has officially tied 1992 for the most tornadoes to occur in a year (since 1950). We've now officially had 62 tornadoes. It is only early June.
Today's additions:
EF2- Muskingum Co
EF0- Knox Co.
EF0 - Delaware Co.
EF0 - Licking Co.

possible storm development tomorrow with 3000-4000 J/kg of CAPE in Iowa/Illinois/Missouri and some shear for promoting severe storms. There should not be a strong tornado threat as there will be weak low level shear
