Looks like my county had an EF-1 last night, I wondered if the storm that prompted a tornado warning last night was actually producing, looks like it did. Also because of a funny typo it's actually the first EF-5 in a decade with max winds of 1050mph 🤣😂

The Toledo area got 0.68" at TOL and 1.38" at TDZ. There were scattered severe wind gusts. The convective line was very unusual. It was forced by the shortwave at 500mb that was progressing through the area. Just to the south of us, at Findlay, the temperature was 81 and dew point was 62 before the storm. As for surface-based CAPE, I'm not sure what we really had, maybe 500-1000 J/kg. There were east to southeast winds. Thankfully just a couple of sticks down that I saw, so, maybe 25mph-30mph wind gust near my place. I really didn't pay attention too much because the big storms were getting going in other parts of the country and I was watching radar and Ryan Hall's stream on the tornadoes. One tornado warning occurred in northern Ohio. This is what I call a clevenado.  And there's now over 1100 unfiltered and over 700 filtered storm reports from yesterday. This puts it in the upper range of any day I've seen in my lifetime Note: the SPC showed only filtered reports years ago(?). My idea is that 500+ filtered is a huge severe weather day.

I am amazed that you survived an EF-1 with 1,050 mph.  You need to write a tell all book about it.

Also get the contractor's names of the homes that only had minor damage.  If they can withstand a 1,050 max winds, then I want that guy building my house!

If the 0z HRRR verifies we could end up with back to back MCSs here, one around midday and the other overnight. On the eastern edge of the slight risk for now though.

Looks like we're done with our 15# tornado days for this season (thankfully) I much rather prefer these slight risk MCSs days before the inevitable heat dome takes over soon

Y’all deserve a break that’s for sure. I’m looking forward to the heat dome because that means ring of fire weather for us here in Midwest 😍
