MERCER COUNTY...

At 757 PM EDT, radar indicated that a tornado-producing storm was
located near Coldwater, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Damaging tornado.

SOURCE...Weather spotters confirmed tornado. At 7:55 PM, a tornado
         was reported 4 miles north of Fort Recovery.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is
         likely.

Locations impacted include...
Celina, Coldwater, St. Henry, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Neptune,
Carthagena, and Maria Stein.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.

         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is
         likely.

Connersville, Blooming Grove, Columbia, Brownsville, Laurel,
Nulltown, Alquina, Andersonville, Alpine, Everton, and
Springersville.

   The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

   * Tornado Watch for portions of 
     Southern Illinois
     Southern Indiana
     Central and Western Kentucky
     Southeast Missouri

   * Effective this Tuesday night and Wednesday morning from 700 PM
     until 200 AM CDT.

   * Primary threats include...
     A few tornadoes likely with a couple intense tornadoes possible
     Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5
       inches in diameter likely
     Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely

   SUMMARY...Widely scattered thunderstorms are beginning to develop
   across the watch area.  These storms will organize into supercells,
   capable of large hail, damaging winds, and a few tornadoes through
   the evening.

   The tornado watch area is approximately along and 65 statute miles
   north and south of a line from 30 miles east of Lexington KY to 5
   miles northwest of Cape Girardeau MO. For a complete depiction of
   the watch see the associated watch outline update (WOUS64 KWNS
   WOU8).

   PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

   REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
   tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
