Clear photo of the tornado

That is an absolute magnificent photo. Not only is it beautiful, that is perfect for teaching and exhibiting how the atmosphere works regarding tornados.

Tomorrow is shaping up to be a pretty big day. 04z HRRR, noticing in the last couple of runs a skinnier MCS, it looks like the southern end breaks up into a couple semi-discrete cells into Indiana/Ohio/Kentucky.

Central Illinois gets a semi-discrete mode at first quickly conglomerating into an embedded line. Further south into central/east MO we see a mostly discrete mode initiate.

Lastly, some explosive development starting in eastern Oklahoma, starting semi-discrete and quickly organizing into a multi-cellular/possibly embedded supercell mode. Keep in mind this doesn't even show the entire evening, this is just up to and a couple hours after initiation.

If trends continue I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest to see an extension of the enhanced through the rest of southern MO, central/southern Illinois, and maybe parts of southern Indiana.

Just because I want to, I'm going to throw in this map of how I think the enhanced could be expanded and come back tomorrow if they do expand (and potentially even upgrade given trends) to see how close I was lol.

I'll just say it now, before I go to bed finally, large area of severe weather tomorrow. Models continue to trend in the wrong direction. I wouldn't be surprised to see a large expansion of the enhanced if this remains the case in the morning. Possible to even see an upgrade, we'll just have to see. Be weather aware!

A least expand the slight up to the OH/MI border. Sheessh. Always left out. Rumble of thunder just woke me up with some elevated storms. Positive lightning strike. Nothing major, but cool rain this morning has arrived. Probably will have convective debris linger for most of the day.

Tell you what though, no shortage of rain with this first batch. Already got 1.3” on the board.
