GFS pushing this low down by Virginia/North Carolina border. Some of the other runs seemed further north. Is high pressure stronger than previously expected?

So far GFS the only one doing this.  Will have to see what the Ukie and Euro show.

5 of them have the SLP at roughly the same position.  One of them has it 75 to 100 miles south of the others.

I agree but it is  how that model  process a bias. GFS has a southern bias.

NBM QPF

First one.

This one, so subtract anything above from it (there's no 24hr qpf option)

And snow from this one.

Agree with UTS about this being a less complicated system. I don't see it being blocked and regenerating coming up the coast. Just moves on through.  Doesn't mean a shift in track by 20-50 miles is out of the question. But there's limited moisture with most output in the .1 to .3 range with rare .4s popping up now and then.  Another situation where the swath of snow is rather narrow with sharp cutoffs. I see the NBM as having the axis of heaviest snows along the M/D line and most others are there or just south.  It's nice to see a clipper for a change.

This outlet had a broad brush 1-4 for last event - and got roasted on their pages for busting way low.

Now they seem to be eager to make up for it - have they gone too far the other way? The N part of that 2-4 zone is unlikely to come close to verifying.
