Cause I like to keep the southern Mid Atlantic relevant….

LWX latest AFD

LONG TERM /SATURDAY THROUGH TUESDAY/...
A cold front will move into the region Saturday into Saturday night.
This front will bring a chance for some light rain in the afternoon
and evening. Any rain amounts would be light. Temperatures will
remain above average to well above average with highs reaching the
lower to middle 60s in mainly places with lower to middle 50s in the
mountains.

High pressure will build briefly into the region Sunday into Sunday
night. This high will help to dry out the region and usher in cooler
air. Highs Sunday should still be above average but perhaps 5
degrees cooler than Saturday. Highs in the middle 50s with a few
upper 50s in east-central Virginia.

The trend in the temperatures will be cooler Monday and Tuesday as
high pressure lingers to the north. A low pressure system could
approach from the Tennessee Valley on Monday and pass across or just
to the south of the region Monday night and Tuesday. The possibility
still remains of some wintry precipitation on the leading edge of
the low pressure system late Monday into Monday night as colder air
from the north at the surface is overrun by some milder air near the
top of the boundary layer. It is a little too early to decifer the
extent and type of wintry precipitation, especially when the GFS,
European, and Canadian models have discrepancies on the intensity
and exact track of the low pressure system Monday into Tuesday. For
the most part, consensus of model data still favors rain over wintry
weather. Once the low passes to the south and east, west to
northwest winds could increase and there could be a mix of rain and
snow or plain snow in the north and west. Stay tuned to any changes
in the models over the next few days.

GEFS spaghetti.  Starting to get some timing narrowed in the northern stream at D4-5, but some good strength differences in there.  Just glad we still got something to play with.

Reminds me of a Rodney Dangerfield joke.

This is the most consistency we've seen in the GEFS, just hope it's not underrepresenting the spread.  With the players that much closer to NOAM and potentially being sampled, we can hopefully look for some more "linear" trends, instead of jumping around.

Waking up every morning and checking the GFS is like knocking on a new door on Halloween.  Sometimes you get a rock, sometimes a full size 100 Grand or Milky Way!

I'm starting to feel a bout of optimism creeping up within me.  Euro, GFS, Icon and the UKMET all on board?

NBM too

But here comes the Navy to spoil the vibe

NAVGEM is same at 6Z.   The only thing is I believe the other models are showing some sort of transfer to a secondary near the coast where the NAVGEM wants to only show a primary.
