February 12-13, 2024 | Winter Storm

Danville, PA - clocking in at 5.5 inches of snow. Accumulating snowfall still occurring. May reach 6 inches before the backedge slips through very soon.

Overall a nice surprise. Was expecting much less with the emotional turmoil of yesterday.

Hey! We didnt' get a monster - just a heavyweight. But we DID hit 100 pages. 🙂

I give full props to ContentWxGuy - two days ago he mentioned the likely 850 track which I immediately recognized as a KMDT to KLGA sweet spot - that is playing out big time.

You can see it in the MT arrows that are counterclockwise just off the coast - they point to the zone of destruction about to be unleashed (OK so that was a little dramatic, but you get the idea)

That arrow under LI off CNJ coast is pointed right at me! And anyone else who is in CNJ I guess. 🙄

Update.  Measured too close to the house.  10" on grass, between 5"-7" on paved surfaces.  Still coming down.  Temp just below 33.  Went outside to check and branches are snapping every few minutes.

Always fun when you can see it on visible.

OBS from Princeton Junction, NJ

34-degrees.  Snowing moderately, with wind coming from the northwest (plastering the side of the trees).  Very small flakes.

Everything is white. It’s beautiful!  Probably 4” based on the rain catcher being 12”.  Too deep to measure in slippers or sneakers.

Glad LI is turning over
