Cooling cloud tops evident in recent
satellite imagery across southeastern Pennsylvania into the lower
Hudson Valley appear reflective of a strengthening zone of
mid/upper-level frontogenesis, which is forecast to continue to
develop east-northeastward to the north of the surface cyclone. As
forcing for ascent within this zone becomes maximized within the
layer most conducive to large dendritic ice crystal growth
(temperatures around -15C), initially near or just below 500 mb in
forecast soundings before slowly lowering, it appears that heaviest
snow rates will shift across the eastern Long Island/Long Island
Sound through Cape Cod vicinities between 15-18Z. With
precipitable water beginning to approach .8 inches, and lift
forecast to intensify further, particularly near Cape Cod, heaviest
sustained snow rates may increase in excess of 2 inches per hour.

looks like its winding down here.  have about 8" on the ground.  I said Sunday after one of the models spit out 16"-20" for my area and before the push south by most guidance, that I would be happy with half that.  well I got half so I guess I should be happy.

I called for 5 and have 6 and still going. I am NOT happy. But I'll get over it.

Absolutely thumping here in Emmaus. Here’s a wild Chewbacca who refuses to come in. 😅 Powers out and now I don’t have to work! 😝

Snowing in the NW Corner (Litchfield County). At 5:30 AM was snow on the grass and the road was wet, but now everything is covered and eyeballing it looks to be about 3-4 inches so far.

LI, Cape Code, etc. look to be in a great spot for this strengthening storm! Going to get that band for the next 3 hours or so here and it should be all said and done, have about 1.5" so far.

Absolutely nothing up here a bit north of Albany NY, as expected.  Happy for you all that got great snow!  Truthfully, glad we didn't get anything, makes things easier at work.  Been fun reading everyones posts.
