February 12-13, 2024 | Winter Storm

It is a good thing that I no longer live in the Binghamton area. I should have known that something wasn’t panning out when NWS called the storm moderate rather than major. To me, “moderate” means advisory. At best, this will be an advisory- level storm for them.

Sorry guys, I think a Midwesterner just screwed up hopes for some. I’m in Bloomingburg right now and apparently I’m a storm repellant. Thing is trending south for this area lol. Still looks like some snow for Sullivan county still.

Yea it doth not matter much in waa’s, but this is cold air incoming so it may play a role.

As a layperson, I'm not sure I follow. Everything I read/heard last week was pointing out how warm the boundary layers were by the coast. Didn't matter if upper levels were cold if warm ocean air was keeping us toasty.

Central Suffolk projected to 48 degrees high but sitting at 44 degrees now. Would that cause transition away from rain earlier tonight?

Bumped down to a WWA here, but looking like it might not snow at all!

No worries though.. we normally get to have all the fun up here, so I hope this thing crushes you guys towards the south!  I'll point all my fans south to help increase the south trend as an act of solidarity 🙂

Yup, check a few posts back, this was already posted along with totals. It's a think of beauty for the area where the snow fails.
