Jpfalcon
Lots of flooding around these parts today so I'd be happy with no precipitation for a few days.

MesoscaleBanding
Saw enough from the 12z suite to keep me interested considering it wouldn't take much for this to be the biggest snowfall of the season IMBY 🤡🤣
Moderators Hiramite Posted January 26 Moderators Share Posted January 26 Interesting “man vs machine” differential, but the gap appears to be closing. Will they meet in the middle?…Who will win?…Or will we all be NAM’ed? The latest from “man” for OH.

snowlover2
ILN latest Quote .SHORT TERM /6 AM SATURDAY MORNING THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT/... Low pressure over the lower Mississippi Valley Saturday morning will lift northeast into Tennessee by evening. Isentropic lift ahead of the system will spread rain through the TriState during the evening, then across the rest of the forecast area overnight. Depending on the exact path of the low, guidance indicates a narrow ribbon of snow possible to the northwest of the low late. There is a signal for 1-2" somewhere to the north and west of Interstate 71. Since there is still considerable uncertainty in the exact location of this band, have stayed rather conservative on the official forecast amounts for now. With relatively warm surface conditions, accumulations may be limited to grassy/elevated surfaces. Will include a mention of this in the Hazardous Weather Outlook and continue to monitor. Temperatures lifting into the 40s on Saturday will drop into the 30s Saturday night during the precipitation. && .LONG TERM /SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY/... Upper level low is positioned directly over the Ohio Valley Sunday morning with a surface low moving through the local area during the first part of the day. Ongoing precipitation will continue through the day, but a noticeable decreasing trend from west to east is expected into Sunday evening. For this forecast period, have maintained mention of snow & rain/snow mix (from short term discussion) across northern portions of the local area. Some light snow accumulations may linger into mid-morning Sunday before solar insolation and temperatures become less suitable. Precipitation intensity related to the vertical ascent also decreases, suggesting maintaining cooler temperatures will become more difficult in the lower troposphere. Admin BuckeyeGal Posted January 26 Author Admin Share Posted January 26 All the short rangers (to an extent) are still showing the heavier swath in NW Ohio/Eastern Indiana.
