ILN mentions 15-20:1 ratios in their morning AFD.

Also said they're leaning toward a widespread 1-3" event with the possibility of 2-4"

That seems a safe call this far in advanced.

I've been keeping track of the liquid equivalent (QPF) output.  I like using this as a base and then go from there on ratios.

January thaw after this system so it better be good. It’ll only last a bit tho.

I don't mind thaws after cold spells.  I just don't want either of them hanging on endlessly.  After warm spell, I am ready for more cold.

So GFS/RGEM/Canadian/UKMet/ICON vs Euro/NAM, when it comes to amounts. But at least the storm is there on all. Used to be if Euro/NAM were together that was a done deal but things have changed.

I would think that would still be 2-4” with ratios.

True, but if you get stuck in a 0.1 qpf pocket, you might only see ~1.5" - best of the season, but I'd be incredibly disappointed knowing that the next 10+ days are going to be a garbage pattern.
