Agreed - it is starting to become clear that there will be a narrow jackpot zone that gets a decent hit from both waves. Looks like a possible zone that might see continual light/moderate snow for 12-18 hours+
RobB
Glad to see things still holding together for peeps in this thread region. Whoever gets in the sweeter spot is snow starved, so it would be a win for them.

Something that could've happened with today/tomorrow's storm but didn't. Hm.

Hoping the suck zone is limited and a wide swathe of people can cash in.

Admin BuckeyeGal Posted January 15 Admin Share Posted January 15 Hey. At least we're talking about high-ratio snow and not rain or that word that won't be named that starts with sl and ends with t!
MesoscaleBanding
Still an easy path to suppression with the latter portion of the storm. Makes me nervous considering wave 1 has the potential to be pretty narrow.

Admin BuckeyeGal Posted January 15 Admin Share Posted January 15 This would be a general win for almost all of us (remember S/E stuff has today/tomorrow added). 1

Admin BuckeyeGal Posted January 15 Admin Share Posted January 15 Canadian has very light first wave and then slams it all together lol.
junior
There appears to be two pieces that eject into the flow from W Canada. The second piece is better oriented on the latest 12z runs.
RobB
Here is the Instant Weather Maps 48 hour snowfall at hour 102. I like that they have 48 hour and I like their snow amount ratio algorithm better:
