I've only known about it a few years.......I used to assume they were shorter ranged High Rez radars.

Yeah. Our climate/location historically doesn't bode well for us for big storms, but we're in a long drought with all of our neighbors (Indy, Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, KY, WV) cashing on big storms more recently than us.

I get that, but to go 9 years without a six inch snowfall is nuts. I think central Ohio is somewhere in the 20-30 inch range for annual averages. You’d think a six incher would happen at least once every few years. It’s all very cyclical, it’ll turn one day.

This is hilarious- received more in the last couple hours from this lake effect band than I did from the synoptic snowfall 😂

I remember early 2014 we had some great streamers off of Michigan. Off and on squalls on a Saturday. Picked up 6 or 7 inches out of it.

Definitely have at least another inch here! ☃️

Same here in Johnstown. Roads are covered again. Very light fluff but putting a nice cover on everything again.

Yep same here in Westerville.  Just drove back from the Blue Jackets game (we left midway through the 3rd due to the score) and even 670/270 are snow covered.  Slow going.

Only 0.5” here with this evening’s lake effect, but enough to cover all cleared streets and surfaces. And brings the total IMBY to 3” for the day.

Intense snowfall down here today! I’d say blizzard conditions existed on the west slope for at least 12 hours and is ongoing. Just an amazing event here in the mountains!

Looking forward to a powder day tomorrow and maybe a little less wind.

Glad we got a few inches at home too!

My area got 1.5 - 2.0 with some light snow maybe enhanced with a few straggling clouds from Lake Huron. We got even some flakes while it was sunny (sort of.)

Here is a radar from earlier this evening, showing some storm reports near Cleveland. Currently, some storm reports have 3" - 12" near Cleveland

Here are my loops from earlier this month, with the largely stormy time we went through (not today). I archived the 500mb from just after the Nor'easter early in the month.
