Without looking at any model output and just going by the NWS forecast for WV, I assume you know you'll be driving thru a large area under a WSWatch.  I don't know how good their snow & ice control is but temps don't look too cold on Friday (high upper 20's) so salt so work good (assuming they put it down.)  Just the obvious stuff like drive during the "heat" of the day so isolation can aid in melting the roadway snow.  Thus I would leave at 10:08:53 AM. :classic_biggrin:

Have a safe trip and enjoy swooshing in the fresh powder!!

Edit to add, high likelihood of meeting Warning criteria.

Great advice!

I’ll be with him but I’m leaving tomorrow night and getting there a day early. Looking forward to the pow day on Friday!

Heading to Snowshoe, WV on Friday for a ski trip. Anyone have thoughts on the best time to leave. It's a 5 hour drive and we can't get into our room until 5pm.

I grew up in WV. Have you been to Snowshoe? Do you have AWD? That area is quite mountainous. If NAMs are right, you might be driving in the snow all day, especially in that area. My 0.02, have @Blitz get you a room on Thursday 😂

I hope you guys in Ohio do well with this system. I think your all overdue for some decent snow fall.

I think I’m a bit north for the main bulk of the clipper but a few models have me close to 2” with some of the bands. We’ll see.

I've been multiple times. Yes, the 4 wheel drive sleigh is primed. And @Blitz is leaving tonight... Lol!!!

Glad it looks like this thread will work out.....I am in kind of a screw zone but that is all right.  Looks to be wintry either way.  Good luck to all!
