junior
18z GFS rolling. Early cues tell me it'll be more progressive/flat with its weird almost split evolution associated with the main shortwave.

Moderators Hiramite Posted January 7 Moderators Share Posted January 7 In looking at the LPTs, the GFS has done pretty well the last two storms...not much jumping around, fairly close to the final outcome.

mafa
This looks very similar to the CFS. (Proceeds to hide for mentioning CFS) 🫣 1 1
Hoosier
To add to what was mentioned... Comparing the 18z GFS to the 12z GFS, notice how 18z puts more emphasis on an initial wave in the Midwest. Also the base of the trough in Mexico is farther east. Result... more of a 2 part event with the second one ending up east of 12z. 4

OSUWx2
I can get behind a 2 wave solution, as opposed to just 1 that would likely sail NW of Ohio. 3

ElectricStorm
This system is looking promising for us to get some snow out here later this week/weekend. Probably won't be a whole lot but hopefully we can cash in at least a little bit
