Shiver Me Timbers
Such a strange setup. Heavy snow in Chicago, though rain now reported in areas north of town.. Rain through most of Indiana, but snow now falling near the new Low in the south-central portion of the state

XPeteX47
In Perrysburg, OH (just southwest of Toledo) it has gone: snow -> rain for a while -> back to snow so far Can still easily see the grass here, but there is some snow mixed in. Getting some big flakes now. 3

zumarat
This is north of Greenville, OH (not far off of IN/OH state line). Traffic is crawling (super slushy roads) and local radio said numerous slide offs this afternoon, including one that knocked out a power pole. Looks like the fun is about over though, assuming the next wave brings the liquid back. 3

Hoosier
Look at the 12z Euro compared to the 00z Euro run. Virtually all of the modeling botched the handling of this double low thing badly almost up until it was happening. If you're far enough north, it doesn't matter much. But it has significant ramifications for places like Chicago metro. This change also delays the deepening of the eastern low to some extent. 1
RobB
I guess I should post an observation from my Vantage Pro 2. Currently 39.7 degrees with .60 inches of rain has fallen. Dreary day...

Maybe not, but quite frankly this is pretty abominable in this day and age of modeling. And because this change has such an impact on my local area, I'm gonna remember this one for a long time.
Wnwniner
LOVE seeing the videos. Really makes me excited for us to get one soon, or if not, for 20 years from now when i retire to move north.

I like being surprised though it sux when one is forecasting/hoping for other weather type. I'd be shocked if we ever perfect modeling of atmospheric chaos.

It should delay occlusion too then if thats the case, which in theory would benefit MI/Lake areas on the backend
