12Z GFS inline with NAM now showing more snow for Toledo than previously stated. Pivotal shows 8" Not sure that actually happens but rain/snow line looking to be further south ATM.

A lot of that is going to melt or compact. Probably 2-4" of actual accumulation before the rain comes. Probably will see some impressive evaporative cooling though from the heavier snow areas.

Still would be great our biggest accumulation yet! Just a darn shame it’s going to be a sheet of ice by Sunday.

Yeah, the double low feature is really screwing with things for a good chunk of Chicago metro for later.  If you believe some of the latest guidance, the more northwesterly low will hang on longer than originally progged into Chicago metro and cause longer precip type issues.  Will just have to watch observational trends in the coming hours, but my optimism from last night has definitely faded locally.  At least the thump of snow this morning was decent... just don't want too much to melt.

Moderate snow somehow here in east central Indiana.  Very wet snow!

Currently 42F IMBY, and sleet is pinging off the windows. 🙄

Can't escape it even in a mostly-rain storm.

I saw this wintery front end “thump” on the GFS yesterday, so I’m not completely surprised
