Those rains were intense driving down to work. Tons of flooding and the winds just did not help the situation. At times the rain was so intense the highest setting couldn't keep up, almost like a summer time thunderstorm.

Highest wind we have recorded was 48mph at the airport probably get pretty similar on the backside winds.

Very much reminded me of a summer deluge there for a spell.

Looks like we have another bout coming through now, wonder if we can maximize winds here.

The winds died down tremendously with the frontal passage. I should add it looks like it was the mid/upper level frontal passage surface to 925mb still doesn't look to have gone through yet, still have a slight SE wind of only 5-7mph versus the near 30-40mph winds we saw just an hour ago.

Unbelievable rain and wind here. Lost power about half an hour or so ago. Bought a house back in June that came with a nice Generac home generator. The couple times we lost power prior to this, it kicked on. Unfortunately, it did not kick on tonight. Sitting on the couch, looking out the window, watching the sky light up blue green from all the transformers exploding

OXC going hit 35 mph.  Going to be a tough night to sleep, but I've now got Covid so NyQuil will be on the agenda in an hour

Rain is loud and relentless.

Looking at radar, it looks like the squall line will roll through here between 9:30 & 10. Hopefully things will start to settle down after that. Heard some pinging off the windows. Not sure if that was debris from the trees or little hail stones. Probably debris but who knows, can't see

Probably debris, far too warm and not nearly enough energy to create hail with this one. It looks like the squall line is from Reading through coatesville so it should be within the next half hour. It is kinda crazy how the winds just kinda shut off. When the surface front rolls through then we get our SW/W winds they may rival what we just had especially toward daybreak.

SNJ definitely made it into the 60s for winds.  Not everywhere obviously but enough to verify and justify the high wind warning.

Now will it verify on the Island...

40's and 50's widespread in DE.  Keep in mind the slp is 978mb and is over Detroit now.

MDOT with two 80 mph readings probably higher up on bridges.

NY just went red with over 100k outages. PA leading the country.  Could see 200k?  NJ hanging in there.
