So 10m  is 10 meters than?

Correct - they measure wind at 10m and temps at 2m. Why we can't just have one standard of measurement is beyond my paygrade. Meters/feet, km/miles, C/F, mb/inches and my fave m/s vs kt vs mph  They gotta make it difficult.  Measuring altitude in millibars is insane.  It constantly changes.

First flakes started falling here at 3:30 pm and the temp is at 31F.  Forecast is for 1"-2" before it turns to rain at my location.

If it were easy, everybody would do it and do it well.

Also, ALL vocations have their "jargon" which they use so as to sound like they know what they are talking about (and the audience does not) - they taught me that in the Train the Trainers classes I had to take

Found some wind - 113mph

Thats at 4k feet, or 875mb using standard pressure, or 1219 meters.

Sounds like a blast...hope you tore those indicators a new one

Winds and snow certainly ripping now.  Driving kids home from school was one of those classics where you just hope you're staying on the road coming through the open fields as the road is gone...

Jax rule?

I was gonna mention Jax Rule earlier. That HAD we had a HP "over top" this would have, in fact, played the JAX Rule

Without the thermal contrast though the LHR is not as impressive as if there were a contrast.

I don't work for the drought monitor but I've been out and about all day. No more drought here folks.
