So.. Probably a stupid question.. but what kind of flakes do you expect tomorrow? Assuming the pancake flakes since it’ll be warm (relatively) and wet.

Love me some pancakes in the intense bands .. adds up quick!

I'd expect a grainy texture near that warm nose (some sleet mixed in), big fat wet flakes inland from that. I'd say it gets fluffy north of say I84.  North if I90 roughly will be pixie dust. Dry air up here might inhibit ideal dendrite growth.

Also.. Observation. It’s 23F in Chambersburg. Expected low was 28F. Others have noticed..

Could be the reason for the "slow down" on arrival on the models... delayed but not denied... at least as modelled.

MJ, any chance of you reincarnating the old Accuweather Jesse Jail and putting RickRD in it ? Remember them old warning levels?

I prefer using a wooden cooking spoon or yard stick across the knuckles.

I'm all packed up for Crystal Springs tomorrow. Per some of these latest short range models may only get 3 inches more up there than where I'm at in Southern Morris county.

3k NAM had Williamsport at 27  now.. my PWS is at 21.6. Oof.

I’m sure once clouds move in, those will pop up.. but I like starting in good position and defending instead of trying to drop down.

Agree, temp variations from modeled don't really matter much in cutters, storms going to the west , because WAA is a cold , heartless killer . But this ain't that, so I think it matters.

Is it the clear skies then? Cuz that's a big variation.

Yep, mostly.  But like Penn State said, about to put a lid on it soon with clouds.  They are close.

Hopefully it doesn't slow down that Pat's offense. It is nearly unstoppable 🥸

I imagine the under bet is getting a lot of action.

Great idea!  $5 on under 30.5 has been placed.  You better be right MJ!
