January 6-7, 2024 | NE / Mid-Atlantic Winter Storm

Penn State

Recommended Posts

Just note that round 1 of this storm is pulling out quicker than expected. Back end is racing, and don’t see enough pivot. Hopefully it does develop. Damage may be done by then for areas that were/ are in the goods. Really great way to tee this year off. Wonderful!!

Recently it has really picked up.  Roads, grass all getting covered.  Hope it stays all snow and sticks around until the flooding on Wednesday.

Clean off the passenger side and you'll see DT is riding shotgun

You could learn a thing or two from DT

@RTC3-LAST CHANCE .. you have a point on that back edge.  If the CTP discussion that says like 5-9pm is going to be our best rates here Williamsport/east, going to need some back-fill or at least slow the progression east.. which is seems like it's trying to back-fill in Altoona.  If not, we're gonna shut off here about 6:30ish in my area.

Yea I can’t wait to see what that’s like when it rips through NEPA.  Should be fun

I sure  hope it backfills . We just need it to pivot a little. I think pressure falls ate lagging though, last time i checked.

Binghamton tuned down the forecast total for Wyoming Valley (PA) to 4-6" with their latest update.

Started off gangbusters here, and has slowed down a lot, so I can see why.

John Hickey (formerly of WNEP) also tweeted earlier that he expects mixing as we get into evening due to warmer air aloft.
