Okay so how did this picture show a member kicking a can down the road for a pattern change?

Ha ha, the curse of the radar showing the dreaded snow-hole.

850-700 mb line (yellow) slowly creeping closer to Mason-Dixon line in the last hour or so.
Initiating force shield to stop its progress.

Key Critical Thickness lines seem to look the same now, if not a little further away(more south) from Mason Dixon line, as they did an hour or so ago. Kinda surprising. See how long the warm air aloft can be held off.

Looks like we may do okay, ice has increased since this morning, but just as the lights flickered for the first time I noticed our temp is now 33, so hopefully most of the ice will melt before we have any significant problems.

All settled into the room. Have my measuring stick (12") and my balcony is ready for the snow at Crystal Springs. Mid mountain is 27 degrees with flurries

Not often that the measuring stick is in serious jeopardy of not surviving the storm. Watching snow fall can generate an appetite.

I always find this to be an interesting geographical weather phenomenon; raining in Morgantown WV with an elevation over 1,100 feet yet for me in Williamsport MD barely over 400 feet elevation it’s snowing. Many factors at play here I’m sure but not the first time I’ve seen this. Ridges to my east doing their best to hold off Atlantic influenced warmth. Thanks MDBlueridge for doing your part!

Is that “Reggie”?

This is AI at its finest, messing with the R/S line

First flakes have begun in Three Bridges in Hunterdon County Western N.J.

Advisory says 3 to 6.

Point and click is 1 to 3

Nice just to see snow falling as I recuperate from abdominal surgery. Good to hear from most of the old gang.

Accumulating dendrites have commenced in danville.

Hell yes!  It's been fairly light so far.. just dusting the grass and such, but it is just now noticeably picking up steam.  I'd say the real show is about to commence very shortly here.

Ok I think I see it now, too funny: the tiny white snow-hole looks like a guy kicking a can, his head is the circle representing Winchester Va.

You all have much better eyesight than I do.
