This has been quite bumpy so far. Guy behind me had no idea a snowstorm was coming.

Started as a mix of rain and sleet here in Maryland.  Was forecasted for 3-4".  If you are on the fringe prepare for disappointment.

All sleet here in the Shenandoah Valley. Models had indicated we'd start as snow for a bit, but that didn't pan out.

32 degrees with no precip falling currently.

Very light ocean effect snow. Looks like there's a good chance I have underestimated the moisture overcoming the dry NE drainage.  

Clouds aren't all that impressive, but it's still producing flakes.

I'm under these meager returns, but it's not virga.

Here in Williamsport MD we will be dancing with snow/mix today. Right now our dance partner is beautiful; moderate to heavy snow with big flakes! We like big flakes!

Awesome!  So, that should be 3 hours later up here (timing generally seems to match driving, oddly enough, I've found) .. so, sometime between 12:30-1:00 up this way I should expect the flurries to commence.

Remember, rates will dictate precip types. If it goes light it will be mix - when heavy will fall as snow
