All the models have really struggled with storm systems. Each downward spike correlates to a storm.

Interesting to note that the 22z GFS is scoring a decent amount better than it's 0z runs.

6z has it just sliding out to the south.  Don't take any of this model garbage verbatim, holy fack are they jumpy 

A storm trending toward a cutter is about as predictable as night following day and lousy songs getting airplay on top-40 radio.

Not until the beginning of solar spring, which begins around Feb. 5. I remember an Accu Weather meteorologist discussing the solar season in the late 1980s, and he said that solar winter was the three- month period with the winter solstice at its midpoint.
