Tomorrow might be the end of this insane sequence.

sequence of 100's at your house?😄 Honestly, we should expect something like nearly every day with a slight risk or better, but it is apparently a record breaking streak because there are always those few days that break up a streak.

other note: if Toledo really has 51 degrees this morning, then it will be the first temperature of 51 since June 18th.

Lol, the end of the sequence of at least marginal risks of severe storms, but it got extended again.

I reached 107°F today, and it's only the first day in the most intense heatwave of the year.

Hopefully this doesn’t get to devastating. Will help them not enter drought anytime soon at least.
Wish Texas could get some of this. Hopefully some tropical moisture finds them soon.

Would not want to be sitting under this ridge but it is amusing to see these soundings.

Wow, 7680 J/kg measured. That's top tier. Now, hundreds of miles away, some storms hit Cleveland with the effective warm front. The dew point at Toledo went up nearly 20 degrees since nighttime.

as of 00z (last night) another 7060 J/kg measured by OAX (spc web page)

rotation in the clouds near Sandusky and lightning bolts shown here on the radar image

flash flooding in the whole Cleveland metro area!

I can see a lot of lightning flashes in the hazy cloud mass to my east, and stars at the same time!

60mph easterly wind gust measured at Port Clinton

Crazy amounts of rain ongoing in OH.  Much of the western half of the rain shield was unexpected going into last night.  I spy an 8" spot.

As of 6AM Thursday, it's still coming down and expanding west and south.

What a bumpy night. Whole house was shaking for nearly an hour straight. 4.37" of rain on my gauge in about three hours times. Yard is flooded and creeks are overflowing. Plenty of flooding in Detroit proper and the airport has roads flooded out.
