ILN: "[6:45 PM] Well folks, data from the 4 PM weather balloon showed a major wrinkle in today's setup. There was just too much stability from the morning activity and the environment was not able to destabilize enough to erode the stable layer. We are still keeping an eye on storms this evening for severe potential despite lower confidence in the overall severe threat, especially north of the Ohio River."

Agreed. Looking at the hail and tornadoes in Indiana, glad it fell apart. I’m all for a good storm, when it starts damaging property it’s not as fun anymore.
