Latest update on the Matador tornado. I think this might be a pretty high rating.

I strongly think that the Matador tornado will be an EF-4, there is no way it's just an EF-3. Especially since the Engine was ripped and tossed a good distance from a car.

Got some decent winds here but didn't last long. Got some nice rain though and the thunder stayed around well after the main squall moved through.

I had some gusts close to 50, but the lightning was crazy.

What kind of reflectivity existed right before 4.5" hail fell out of the cloud south of Wolfforth, near Lubbock? This 70dbz, somewhat high up in the cloud. The storm is close to he radar, so the base reflectivity, angle 4 is not that high off the ground.

Nothing super detailed from ILN on the latest Sunday update but they do seem concerned about a tornado threat here.

Quote
.LONG TERM /SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY/...
Complex weather scenario for Sunday. There will be some
thunderstorms that work through during the morning hours. How
quickly these storms move through will impact afternoon convection
and subsequently evening into the overnight convection as well.

There are some indications that there will be the morning convection
in which isolated hail cannot be ruled out. There is then expected
to be at least some redevelopment during the afternoon hours, these
storms will have the potential to be severe with damaging wind,
hail, and tornado potential. There is some pretty good upper
support that pushes in during the evening and therefore there is a
concern for an additional wind and tornado threat. Will continue to
monitor the details of this event as it gets closer.
