I mentioned this morning that there would be a low chance/small window for a tornado threat in the eastern TX Panhandle between 6pm-8pm. 30 mins late but close enough.

Radar indicated

Looks like it'll be another busy day. 15% hatched hail for the southwest TX Panhandle and south. Looking at splitting supercells here. New day 1 outlook mentions gusts up to 75 mph possible but they didn't go hatched wind.

Solid inversion here this morning but steep lapse rates above it. Much of the west half of the TX Panhandle didn't get touched by yesterdays storms, so that's certainly where the concern is.

Discrete supercells are not having issues growing hail. They’re all currently in eastern New Mexico. As it stands now, the current severe warned ones may just clip the Amarillo CWA but there’s always the potential for more development further north

Incredible mesovortex SE of Amarillo

that's pretty cool. As far as I can tell, there aren't severe winds at the surface. But pretty cool anyway, as maybe some hail is happening.

The HRRR says the MCS grows and continues overnight, falling apart in SE Texas at 15z (hour-16 forecast)

Don't think there's many ways to get observations southeast of Canyon... and that mesovortex got going after it moved through Canyon
