The main reason models didn't see this, other than the NAM, was that the CAP was forecast to stay pretty strong, but strong day-time heating eroded the cap. The SRH definitely helped produce the multiple strong tornadoes we've seen today though, has to be one of the crazier days i've seen for cyclic supercells.

I issued my first tor warning today which became a confirmed tornado. Sounds like it did do some damage and it overturned a semi. Thankfully it didn't hit a more populated area though, both circulations had vrots around 70kts for multiple scans. Missed all the action in Oklahoma because I was so busy with that cell.

For a meteorologist in Kansas, that is strongly understandable since there was a tornado in your CWA.
