I found one in Boothbay Harbor.

Nice.  Doesn't look too blizzardy at the moment, but there's a lot more snow on the ground there than i have!

Coming down heaviest of the afternoon, good luck to those dealing with feet of this mess. What a storm!

I'm a little releived it didn't continue on as it did last night. We lost power at work, thank god for the large generator. Tree's were snapping all over the place with many closed roads. If it had continued it would have been a disaster. Not sure what two and a half feet of this would do to the trees around here.

hope everyone is having fun.  Just wanted to list the top 3 events for the season since it is almost over

Feb 3          Trace

Today          snow showers, wet ground at times.  0 accumulation

Feb 16        The Big Frost.  Actually had to use scraper instead of just wiper fluid

And my neighbor, for those that remember, is not swayed by the intense wind or cold .

You don't see this everyday, quite the storm 984. . Coastal flooding in Maine an issue with this sling shot low?

Tides are not astronomically high right now. Winds are pretty northerly here. I know there was some risk of minor flooding, but GYX wasn't that concerned about it.

amazing, under that cloud streak it's coming from Boston and its coming down at a pretty good clip, Is Boston snowing? Radar says so

mPing says yes.

Visibility down to about 250' here. No doubt there's some dendrite fracture going on. Gonna be tough to measure, it's starting to drift pretty good.

Still snowing here, I couldn’t even guess what actually fell as a lot of it was melting.  I’d say we got at least 4” and possibly more if someone measured with a board every hour

looking at analysis the vigorous vort out front did not assimilate into the flow.  I think our nothern ull was slow to arrive which didn’t help make things a bit more compact

A great storm in a year where we’ve had basically nothing.  Think we still have another wave to track next week before it’s officially boating season, will occur during a retreating phase 1 mjo, enso neutral phase 1 composites show lower heights over the Cont US and downstream  which could help slow the flow down.  Will have to see how things play out this week

Snow started around 3 pm, came in fast like a snow squall, heard 2 rumbles of thunder during the most intense band.  38° down to current 32.5° once it started.  Strong NNE wind has the trees roaring up high.  Quick 2” but now watching a big dry slot moving in off the GOM into eastern Maine.

Mount Snow is reporting over 3 feet of snow but I don't know what time this is from.

MOUNT SNOW WEATHER FORECAST

Wheeeeeew skiers and riders, this storm is one for the books! We're measuring over 36" (you read that right: over 3 FEET) of snow and it is still coming down. A massive thank you to all of our teams who put in major work to get us the trails and lifts we had today, and to all of you for your patience. The storm's not done and the work's not over, so there may be delays tomorrow but the goal is Bluebird Express, Nitro Express, Outpost, Discovery Shuttle, and Sunbrook Express for a 9:00 start. Please check for updates!

This is pretty cool.  BTV missed the forecast today for a sizeable chunk of their coverage area and their discussion goes through what happened.  For those not willing to read it, sun angle comes into play.

Quote
As of 319 PM EDT Tuesday...It has been a day out there. To briefly
describe what happened, much of the previous forecasts have relied
on snowfall rates being insufficient to overcome a March sun angle,
some impinging dry air, and near to above freezing temperatures.
These issues would be less realized at higher elevations, but the
expectation at lower elevations was for greater difficulty in seeing
snow pile up. About 7 to 8 AM, an area of 700-500 hPa FGEN
concurrent with an area of enhanced SEPV and a small jet stream
associated with a more persistent Long Island low produced a band
capable of 2-3 inch per hour snowfall rates. Its impacts were felt
as it moved west across the Connecticut River Valley and slowly made
its way to the Champlain Valley before stalling out. These rates
were sufficient to produce the rapid accumulations that have
resulted in scattered to numerous power outages. Essex County, New
York has reached nearly 50 percent without power, and outage events
in Vermont reached nearly 38000 before coming back down. Traffic in
Vermont and Essex County, New York has been especially difficult.
High resolution guidance failed to capture this mesoband, and it
seems our forecast prescience was about as foggy as the visibilities
at BTV as of this time of writing. Just imagine if it were colder!
We are likely to achieve equal or more liquid equivalent than
the infamous Pi Day Storm (1.11" of liquid), which happened 6
years ago. Since midnight, we have received 1.01" of liquid, but
given how wet the snow has been, we are not near that event`s
snowfall total. Stay safe out there.

What is Boston reporting

first thinking this will be the first nesis storm of the year.   Likely a 1 but if could be a 2 depending on the Boston area

My mom is 15-20 miles north of Boston on the coast and she only just went over to snow.  I know that 5-10 miles inland made a big difference, but I don't think the city itself got a whole lot as of this writing.
