Hi all! Been an uneventful winter in the apps. Rinse and repeat. Right now heavy snow. To be followed by rain. As has been snow is very elevation dependent.

Hey there, nice to see you're around. Was wondering where you were. Has been more rain than snow here in NEPA, but higher elevations like where Iive are around 30" for the season. Not too bad all things considered.

Not sure what to expect with this storm this PM. Anywhere from 1" to 3" I guess. Let's see if elevation helps again. Nowcasting here I come.

There was another fellow that I thought was in the high elevations of the apps, closer to Pittsburgh.

Was his name Birg? BigMirg? Along those lines…

Looking like 17z run there was a blip...not seeing much else, including 18z run that agrees with it. 18z RAP below

Edit: actually 18z does seem like it's coming in between 16z and 17z.

We got up to 37 today with full sun and I was worried we may be too warm going into the storm.  Clouds rolled in around 4 pm and temp is currently 29F with a dp of 19F.  I guess we are in good shape.  The game is supposed to start here around midnight.

I remember him too. I think he was from the Blue Knob area of PA. BigMirg rings a bell.

Whomp there it is - it's 995 new low over NC just shy of of the VA border, but the parent is still 984

996mb at Yorktown is 3-4mb deeper than the SPC map.
