Presuming this storm goes NW, that means GFS lead the way with this one--sniffed it out first, moved it NW first...
Just feels weird to to say that GFS lead the way...

GFS may go to the extreme on a regular basis but it is also normally the first to see a winter storm setup. Doesn't deserve the bad reputation. You just have to divide its snowfall output by 4 order to get an idea of what's really coming :classic_biggrin:

Also gotta say...I know we don't use the CFS for tracking storms, but it was actually the first model that I saw to be this far NW.

Might be chalking up a victory for the CFS if things don't swing back SE 🤡

Yea, I mentioned that earlier. CFS the victor

It really is laughable how some of these models went from suppressed southern slider to GL cutter with a snow axis through Chicago in less than 36 hours.

I remember those winters years back. Nor’easter to MN cutter in one swing.

This is absolutely a deadly jinx, but I'll say it anyway...

This storm will occur almost 15 years to the day of the March '08 blizzard...
