junior
I mean I'd rather it trend way up north and enjoy the warmer air than 35 degree cold rain. Go way north or go way south thanks.

snowlover2
Almost looks like it retrograded back to St. Louis. Went from a major snowstorm at one point here to possibly severe weather.

JayPSU
I don’t know why we expected anything different. This has been the general track all winter. 3

At the rate the GFS is trending, this will be a Twin Cities storm come time of the event.

A couple more ticks NW and pretty much. Also look for a weakening trend it gets as we head into obs. This storm later in spring/early fall would be a massive severe weather outbreak. Yikes. Probably will still be in the south if the setup maintains. Edited February 26, 2023 by junior

To clarify the track needs to move substantially further NW with a SLP over NIL for that to be the case. Than MSP gets hit again. Unless foreign models jump NW a lot GFS in la la land and will recorrect back SE Edited February 26, 2023 by Cary67

cperry29
GFS depiction would fit the pattern we’ve been in for the last month. CMC slowly creeping that way? My glass is half empty. 🙂🤷🏻♂️

This reminds me of the Dec storm. I am getting ready to toss the flag for my home even though other models give my area hope. Think they will eventually cave to a much further west solution. 1
Moderators Hiramite Posted February 26, 2023 Moderators Share Posted February 26, 2023 Idk but I'm guessing the GFS's tendency to over-amp storms is causing it to cut. In looking at HR 138 of the 0z runs, GFS has a 971 mb low, the Canadian a 990.

Admin BuckeyeGal Posted February 26, 2023 Admin Share Posted February 26, 2023 Going to keep watching, but unfortunately the GFS is now showing the same type of storm we've seen all winter long (as a lot of people are saying).

NWsnowhio
I’m in the all or nothing camp at this point of the season. Either hit big or miss big to the north….don’t go in between. I love big snows, but I also love sun and 70+ degrees. Both have been absent for too long.
