Based on reports I've seen, houses 2 blocks away are completely leveled...

It's crazy to think if that thing had been 2 blocks north I'd probably be dead.

You know maybe quiet storm years like 2018 aren't so bad after all...

I am glad to hear that you are alright.

Take the time to process and ensure you take care of yourself.

Tornado watch up in Indiana.

Pretty decent probabilities too, 40% for 2 or more tornadoes. Didn't think we'd see much from the event but models are trending a bit more toward some warm front activity recently.

I can’t wait for this rain to move out. It may be too late this way to hope for some good boomers but I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Last time with the enhanced risk it ended up being cut back due to the morning rain. But that’s pretty typical here. Always get the morning rain to crap on our parade lol.

That it was. Got home about 30 mins ago. I was free to leave at 9 but I wasn't about to drive in sustained 45-50/gusting around 60 and <2 mile visibility. Plenty of work to do post-event anyway. Gusts calmed down to only 50 mph so I went for it. It was obviously dark but I saw some damage to some yield signs on my way home... bent traffic signs isn't new... I saw that in Ohio. But I saw some yield signs that were split... that's new to me.

Itll be interesting to see what kind of damage comes in tomorrow.

Here's 5pm-11pm data at the office. Gusted over 70 in 7 observations, including a 9 minute period with gusts 73-74 mph.

Pretty epic picture

Man those look like Ike numbers. Perhaps even longer. Those winds are insane.
