I'm very lucky to have the coastal front, which behaves in a fairly predictable manner. Track certainly matters, but it's often dictated by said front.

We just can't get a decent cold air mass in place to ram some moisture into.  Hopefully a building snowpack can provide some second half of the season help

6z GFS was a cyclone making machine, so seems active at the very least.

I don't think I've had one cold snow storm this winter. There has been a threat of rain for each storm this winter. The only time I feel like it was cold was at Christmas.

Back this way, as we have known for days, riding the line of do we mix/changeover or not, or a little, or a lot, or maybe a teensy bit or mega lots.

NAM is warm fmby, RGEM and ICON keep the line south of here by like 20 miles or so. No way to know for certain until tomorrow night.

Same here.

The December 15-16 storm was all snow, but it was DENSE.  This latest storm was downright enjoyable to snow blow.

Hopefully Ole Man Winter has some enjoyable storms for us before spring.

So if the GFS already "won"... then is it losing now, showing the colder scenario? I'm not sure how that works. 🤔😄

Actually much better both on the front and back end, it's doing what the gfs was with the backend banding extending into the HV and changing any rain mix back to snow. This feature is on all models some stronger than others looks like gfs and euro have it strongest ...

Wow big big back end dump for CT and a bit into SENY AND SNE.. 12z vs 6z snow and gif.

I personally am not the biggest fan of the 12z NAM lol. I prefer the gfs euro hrrr at this point lol.

12z Euro would do you solid tho.

Yea nam is much colder for the southern fringe. Great moves today on essentily every model

Peeked at 15z sref quick and was pleased, nice to see the warmest outlier come back to the others. I was feeling bummed for a bit haha

Of course, none of it matters at the end of the day, we shall see how it shakes out tomorrow evening. 🙂

Don't be greedy I'm trying to get a couple inches, you down graded to like 6" lol

Lol. I just want enough to snowblow. I hate when it's only like an inch or 2, and just gets driven over. Turns the driveway into a skating rink.
