Definitely not a storm for the ages, but gave us something to do.  Probably would've been more fun for folks had it been an over-achiever for something advertised as a general 2-4" event.  In any event, at least SE Michigan got in on some action!

Ended up hitting around 4-5 inches imby depending on the surface that it collected on. Overall, DTX pegged it right on for this area. Its definitely thick, heavy snow, and the kids are currently outside enjoying it since they had a snow day today. Overall, I'm happy with the result.

The NWS was calling for 4-6 inches of snow for Columbus on Wednesday morning. They downgraded that to 2-4 pretty late in the day. Ultimately the writing was on the wall for central Ohio by mid-morning yesterday.

Maybe I’m wrong, but weren’t most of the models pretty clear that Central Ohio was going to get too warm to get much of anything at least 24 hours before the event?

And I'm gonna wait one more day to do the SREF Tracker follow-up since the values in the tracker were for 1-27 12Z.    At first glance with just yesterday's totals, not too bad, not too bad at all.

KTOL received 4.7" on 0.57" of liquid. 8.2:1 snow ratio. Ross Ellet with a cool graphic this morning about the importance of a few degrees and better ratios.

May be an image of snow and text that says 'FIRST ALERT WEATHER WEDNESDAY'S SNOW VERY WET & SLUSHY (0.57" PRECIPITATION) *IF 3° WARMER COLD RAIN *TOLEDO: 4.7" OF VERY WET SNOW *IF3 COLDER 6.8" NORMAL SNOW *IF 6° COLDER =9.1" FLUFFY SNOW'

Ya if the temp would've worked out in everyones favor this would've easily been a large swath of 6-12" through the MW/OV
