My new point and click says less than an inch of snow 🤣🤣🤣 why don’t they just cancel the warning at this point. Downgrade it to a WWA for the possibility we get a surprise inch or 2..

With that I’m going to bed. I’m super sleepy from waking up early this morning to Track this thing. I might wake up at 5-6 just to check..  Congrats to NW Ohio and Semi and Indy on the snows. I hope this thing over achieves for you guys like ours did Sunday.

HRRR trying to pull me back in but I’m just doubting it at this point. Maybe some snow will mix in but a full on couple inches just doesn’t look likely.

Yep heavy rain continues…no thump of snow ..wind has picked up noticeably with occasional gusts  ..…guess that’s all she wrote from the Ville on this one outside of the backlash light snow if it materializes

Mesoscale Discussion 0102
NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
   1144 PM CST Tue Jan 24 2023

Areas affected...southern portions of IL...IN...and OH

   Concerning...Heavy snow

   Valid 250544Z - 251145Z

SUMMARY...Broad precipitation will continue to overspread the region
from around 06-12z. Localized heavy snowfall rates greater than
   1"/hr will be possible.

DISCUSSION...The low-level precipitation field continues to expand
in advance of a negatively tilted upper-level trough ejecting over
the central CONUS. Snowfall rates of 1"/hr have been reported from
eastern OK northeastward through southeastern MO, and in some areas
localized snowfall rates around 2"/hr have been observed. The broad
precipitation band responsible for these snowfall rates continues to
translate northeastward in tandem with 700-mb frontogenesis and
mesoscale isentropic ascent. These features are expected to persist
for the next several hours and produce 1"/hr snowfall rates through
12z, generally advancing from west to east across the outlined area.
Snowfall rates of 2"/hr or greater will be possible in localized
areas where enhanced forcing overlaps non-zero potential buoyancy
(10-20 J/kg MUCAPE) in the dendritic growth zone.

I love the big dry slot forming to the SW. Nail in the coffin. Let’s see what these last few bands say. If they’re even snow.

I’m  in that dry slot atm lol..radar returns look drier than expected?…severe outbreak south of here could be at play

I think I’m about officially over it. Going back to bed. If I wake up to more than the covering I already received I’d be shocked. Hopefully Dayton is fairing far better.

Tough break man, missing nail biters always sucks
