I can see how the snow map looks like it does though. Takes the front end thump southeast of 71 and the “main event” to the northwest of 71. And thus leaves Columbus with little snow and then rain lol.

I’d say so. Could happen but the RGEM seems to be an outlier at this point.

Just a reminder to all....QPF is so often a wildcard with these models. Can't get hung up on these...

Not sure how good HRRR is with identifying localized higher amounts but I like seeing nearly a foot somewhere southwest of Amarillo on consecutive runs

Still east (no surprise given RGEM) but that looks even further east. Couple western C oh counties might stay snow that run

0z analysis is still a tad west of where the 18z GFS had the upper low and a good bit west of where the 12z run thought it'd be. Slower seems to be the answer right now. Until the actual ejection occurs, I'd expect to models to continue to play catch up for a while.

Looking closer I think the transition zone is what's throwing off the snow maps, not so much the solution itself
