Very early stages of the 12z NAM have temps in central Indiana and Ohio 3 to 5 degrees warmer than the 6Z run.  It could be on to something based on snow melt today and probably should be noted.  Just my thoughts.

It appears south and east at 18.  Temps look pretty good as well.  Evap cooling for the win!

 Now the NAM is back with a nice front dump as the RAP says no precip at all 😂😂

NAM seems warmer later in the run, but also has more moisture.

I think what the RAP is doing is it has a lot of that initial surge of precip more west of means then it brings more precip as the low moves closer. Different but can’t be discounted.

12z NAM not as juicy here, would still be great with 0.4" of QPF though.

Yeah more precip is evident by the monster totals of snow in OK and Missouri

Actually is seems to be more broad snow wise in Ohio and even expands a county or two south and east from the 6Z.

As the 12Z short rangers crank, here’s a bit dated 0Z plot of the global.

Compared to yesterday’s 12Z, GFS and RGEM ticked east, Euro ticked west, Ukie pretty much the same.

No 0Z mid-short ranger plot, awaiting 12Z runs.
