Ohiobuckeye45
still a couple runs yet to get the NAM/RGEM/18/6z Euro involved in actual snowfall, but should be able to start analyzing the upstream setup on those from now forward Edited January 18, 2023 by Ohiobuckeye45

Meteorologist Ingyball Posted January 18, 2023 Meteorologist Share Posted January 18, 2023 Ensembles look pretty good here right now. Decent chance at 3-5" I think with a small chance at 6+. Some of the ensembles on the lower end of the snowfall hit us with the system after that, but I don't like playing the game of hoping you don't get screwed by the baroclinic zone lol. Meteorologist Ingyball Posted January 18, 2023 Meteorologist Share Posted January 18, 2023 EPS still favoring western Kansas for unusual snowfall. We'll see if there's any expansion eastward at all. Still a decent signal for Central Ohio here. Will need to watch if that trends up with time or not.

Meteorologist Ingyball Posted January 19, 2023 Meteorologist Share Posted January 19, 2023 One good thing here is that we will get some subtle upslope enhancement from easterly winds north of the low which may help keep this thing juiced up for a little longer than models show. junior
Perhaps a weaker system paves the way for a stronger one behind it. Take less of the GOM moisture please.
mafa
I’d take a 1-3 inch snow while watching football and tracking the bigger follow up storm.

Assuming the 2nd storm cooperates, I'd share that sentiment...of course, with a very marginal supply of cold air & central Ohio's propensity for getting screwed, I'm very wary of going 0-2 with these systems.
