Definitely can tell there is a thin warm layer in the mid layer of the column. It didn’t last too long. When I caught some in my hand I couldn’t tell if it was snow pellets or sleet. It was more snowy than icy looking if that makes sense so it may have been pellets. But those went away as soon as heavier returns moved back in. Currently look from this Kroger parking lot before I drive back home. IMG_1375.MOV

It's not pingers. It's just clearly half melted snow. That said, we've gone back under a light to moderate band and the full sized flakes came back. We're (Florence, KY) a smidge under 5" now.
Jeffro
Quick road report for cbus. Side streets are mostly slush depending on where you are. Highways are just wet. Make sure you have plenty of wiper fluid. Edited January 22, 2023 by Jeffro
Popular Post Ohiobuckeye45
4.25" down so far here. The big damage is done but it's supposed to snow at least lightly for another several hours not including tonight's late meso energy. Crazy....even the most bullish models missed this one until very very late...like the 6z suite 5 1

OSUWx2
Paste job of 4” on the north side of the city. Was a perfect walk through the ravines this morning. 5
BoroBuckeye
4.5” 15 miles or so north of downtown Columbus. Virga didn’t end till around 815 or so, which means impressive rates. I know south of Dayton (Springboro) has around 6 inches and Waynesville is probably over 7! 1
Moderators Hiramite Posted January 22, 2023 Moderators Share Posted January 22, 2023 A solid inch here so far with steady light to moderate snow. Time to head out in it for a walk. A bit of another bump by CLE for some locals.

Michelle
I just shoveled the drive in Xenia...had a bit of a slush at the bottom because temps are a few points over 32. Glad I got it moved before it got any heavier.
snowlover2
About 5.5" here now with on and off light snow. Might have been closer to 6" if any compaction happened.
