Meteorologist ClicheVortex2014 Posted January 14, 2023 Meteorologist Share Posted January 14, 2023 The path lengths of the tornadoes confirmed so far is incredible... especially for January. So far, seven 20+ mile tornadoes... 4 of which were 30+. None of those are the tornado that spawned the tornado emergency. I'm thinking that's gonna come in at around 50 miles based on storm speed and the lifespan of the debris signature. 1

Meteorologist ClicheVortex2014 Posted January 20, 2023 Meteorologist Share Posted January 20, 2023 (edited) Now up to 86 unfiltered tornado reports. That brings us to 136 year-to-date tornado reports. Average year-to-date is 31. This guarantees the tornado count will remain above average until mid-March, assuming we get no more tornadoes in that time span. Also... the longest tracked tornado's path has been upped to 82 miles from 76 miles. Very strong candidate for longest track for 2023. I certainly hope there's no competition for that... but it's still only January. Edited January 20, 2023 by ClicheVortex2014
