Moderators Hiramite Posted January 13, 2023 Moderators Share Posted January 13, 2023 (edited) Awoke to a “heavy dusting” of synoptic snow, even covered the road in front of the house. Every branch, twig and weed stalk coated makes for a nice scene. Currently 30° @ 8AM with light and extremely small flakes falling that feel like drizzle hitting ones face. Snowbelted
Couple of inches here on the elevated surfaces. Ground warmth took off about an inch in the drive. Fine flakes falling but it wont accumulate at this rate. Snowblower remains parked.😃
Snowbelted
NWS CLE Snow growth has been fairly inefficient thus far and should continue to be the case through the rest of the event as a result from a lack of moisture in the DGZ. This is also evident via a relative minimum in moisture across the region visualized on water vapor satellite imagery. Looking like Ill get the low end of the the predicted 3-9 inches. 50's next week looking good.
mafa
Officially a mulch topper here. Actually a light coating on roads as well.

And good that the AI knew you were on a weather forum and only uploaded a weather picture 👀

And good that the AI knew you were on a weather forum and only uploaded a weather picture 👀 Ha! We got about an inch or 2 overnight last night, and I was gonna post that pic earlier when I got home from the gym. But had to make the kids lunches, wake them up 15 times, listen to complaining, blah, blah. Then just flurries all day. It wasn't until about 4pm when it really started up. Still going really good. Probably the hardest since it started. Pretty good for a boring winter!

I wasn’t expecting anything today so it was a pleasant surprise for sure.
