I’d say maybe an inch currently? Tough to tell with the wind. Snow is still coming down so hopefully we can get another inch or two out of this. I am  starting to get a nice drift at my back patio door. Even with the disappointing snow totals, it is quite a sight to see with the wind. Also, I don’t have to shovel which is a plus!

Edit: it’s a little too windy for Olaf today much to my daughters disappointment 😂

Looks about the same here.

The ingredients just didn't come together at the right time for us. Basically nothing more than FROPA precip with some light back end system snow. WDIV was advertising big totals last night and they look silly this morning.

I haven’t checked Facebook today but I’m sure people around here are complaining as well.

Unfortunately our power has gone out about ten times this morning but has miraculously come back on. I’m assuming it will eventually go for good- it usually does when it starts going off and on.

CLE has issued those Blizzard Warnings.

I'm just 1.25 miles away, lol.

The statement from CLE...we don't get to read many of these in OH.

...BLIZZARD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM EST SATURDAY...
...WIND CHILL WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST
SATURDAY...

* WHAT...For the Blizzard Warning, blizzard conditions occurring.
Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches. Winds gusting as
high as 60 mph. For the Wind Chill Warning, dangerously cold
wind chills occurring. Wind chills as low as 30 below zero.

* WHERE...In Ohio, Cuyahoga and Geauga counties. In
  Pennsylvania, Crawford county.

* WHEN...For the Blizzard Warning, until 4 AM EST Saturday. For
the Wind Chill Warning, until 10 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing
snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous
conditions could impact the evening commute. Gusty winds could
bring down tree branches. The cold wind chills could cause
frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Multiple observations in northeast Ohio
and northwest Pennsylvania have reported near-zero visibilities.
The combination of falling snow, blowing snow, and strong winds
will continue to create blizzard conditions through tonight.
From today through Sunday, a period of almost 48 hours where
temperatures remain in the single digits. This combined with the
strong winds would allow for a long period of wind chills well
below zero. Temperatures this cold for an extended period of
time will impact infrastructure across the region with frozen
  pipes a concern.

Looks like the precip shield has edged over my location . It’s coming down moderately, the grass is still showing but getting More covered. DTX says Lake effect should be pretty good over the next couple days, so here’s to hoping we get some ground coverage to look pretty for the holiday!

Power keeps going and coming back, but I’ve got the generator all set up so we’ll stay warm. Got a day of hot coffee, Christmas movies, games with the kids, and cookies! It could be worse- it could be raining 😄 stay safe and warm everyone!!

Not at all, couple posts ago, I mentioned maybe opening a thread for this. Be it for a while after this.

I hope not too long. But if the last 10 years have taught me anything it’s that it doesn’t snow in January 😝😝
