Yeah, its a 24-36 hour event even here.. which is highly unusual. Typical event, 8-12 hours. But, nothing typical about this setup.

yea…I don’t think we’re done tweaking this for the better just yet either.   Windshield wiper effect is a real thing!  Let’s wait and see.

i will take that as long as it stays all snow

Euro is a crawler. Chesapeake at 1am Fri, NYC 7pm Friday.

Interior does well white, but man its marginal. Even being in the 10+ blob on both GFS/Euro, I feel like Im near the mostly mix/blah zone.

Mess of precip coming brah- and for a long time

Excited to see mesos get involved. This will be a fun "know your area" dealie

Hopefully it snows like crazy IMBY and rains in Philly…..errr I mean snows

Salty, 2016 vibes 🤣

Cold rain in Berks, maybe some mood flakes and sleet. We need mid January for the monsters in the mid Atlantic, doubt we have enough cold air. Hope you guys up north and at elevation do well on this one.

12z EPS looking best it has. 4" mean snow DEPTH bump.. and vast majorty are clustered.. a couple duds. Op is on the high end of the envelope.

Trying to emulate the NAM and SREF relationship...

Speaking of....with SREF starting to come into range....saying like a 50/50 chance for at least 4" out your way through about midnight

GFS/NAM are just a mess of wintry precip for many.

Getting a decent agreement this 12z suite at least.. general idea up this way is like a front end thump, then bite your nails for the mix line/dry slot Thursday night. Not sure I expect much Zr/IP except at the onset.

Snow line sagging pretty far south on the goold old GFS 🙂

Yeah, been trending now each run for at least 4 or 5 runs now. Tricky situation. As stated by you and others, depends on handoff, how far south coastal forms, yadda yadda yadda. Standing by for the old lucy football trick as always.

Looks like a mess down this way. We don't get lots of sleet. Snow or ZR. This looks like an ice, snow, ice scenario to me.

But still  ways to go.
