Are you able to heat your house?

I've been procrastinating about getting a transfer switch installed so at least I could use my generator to power the furnace. Right now I just use a 10,000 BTU kerosene heater when we lose power, but it's a pain and only keeps one room warm.

Thankfully, it just came back on.  No, no heat without it.  I do have a suicide cord to backfeed through the dryer outlet if I had to.  I'm putting in a real generator transfer hookup though fairly soon, just a wee bit safer.

Do we happen to have a storm total map from NWS? I cant seem to find a region wide map just a few here and there for final totals.

Very impressive totals. Yea i guess since areas further SW didn't have quite those totals the numbers in storm reports justify it enough without a visual map. Thanks!
